ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF THE STAFF ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE
Ramapo for Children, located in Rhinebeck, NY, seeks a dynamic individual to act as the AssistantDirector of the Staff Assistant Experience (SAE).
The SAE provides a unique residential opportunity for young adults with special needs preparing for independence. Services are providedin the context of an inclusive group living experience and focus on: building healthy relationships; teaching life skills; and providing a variety of practical work experiences. The SAE promotes aculture of lifelong learning; health and self-care; meaningful communication; self-advocacy, and personal responsibility.
Job duties will include but not be limited to:
Working with the program director to develop program curriculum and materials;
Recruiting and orienting new program participants;
Supervising program participants, along with program mentors and job coaches;
Providing on-going training to program and summer staff;
Evaluating and documenting the results of the program toinform the field-at-large; and
Serving as a positive role model within the Ramapo community, demonstrating: maturity; professionalism; energy; enthusiasm; strong organizational skills; and a commitment to excellence, personal responsibility and service.
A qualified candidate will have excellent written and verbal skills, strong relationship building skills, well-developed teambuilding and conflict resolution skills, and relevant recent experience working witha range of children and/or young adults, including those with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, and other social and emotional challenges.

TEACHER TRAINER
Ramapo Training, the professional development program of Ramapo for Children, seeks a dynamic TEACHER TRAINER to provide school-based behavior management workshops, and on-going coaching.This educational leader will serve as a resource and mentor to school personnel in the great New York City area.
The position requires excellent written and verbal skills, strong presentation skills, well-developed teambuilding and conflict resolution skills, and relevant recent experience working wide a wide range of children, including those with special needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, ADD, ADHA, and other social and emotional challenges.
